WESTVILLESELECTED WORK
CAMPAIGN EMAILS AND CATERING ADS
The project
21 campaign emails sent from August 2025 to summer 2026: newsletters, openings, collaborations, holidays, catering and a six-email platform warmup, plus two catering ads for Meta.
What I did
Working through Hudson Creative, I planned the content, wrote the copy, designed the layouts and produced every email on a reusable template. I also designed the two catering ads.
Email campaigns
Monthly newsletters
I built one newsletter template: a seasonal lead, named dishes (“Carnitas Rice Bowl,” never “seasonal dishes”), something happening nearby, and secondary sections for catering or Rewards. Each section has one button.
The November edition is in the Upper East Side launch.
August 2025
New specials and a neighborhood event guide connected each location to reasons to visit nearby.
December 2025
Winter specials, local holiday events and the food drive shared one seasonal email.
January 2026
A 50% mocktail offer led into menu favorites and a bingo card of reasons to visit throughout the year.
April 2026
The return of outdoor tables led an invitation to sidewalk season.
June 2026
Summer dishes and the Knicks gave regulars a reason to come back.
A Westville brand skill
I turned Westville’s brand guidelines into a reusable skill in Claude Code, covering typography, colors, logo rules, layouts and voice. I use it to draft campaign copy within the brand and check new work before it goes out. The skill gives the workflow a consistent set of rules; I direct the campaign and review the final copy and design.
Openings and neighborhoods
I wrote each email for its location: a letter welcoming Upper East Side neighbors on opening day, and a direct dine-in invitation for Clarendon.
Upper East Side opening
A letter to the neighborhood introduced the new location and invited neighbors into the dining room.
Clarendon
Neighborhood details and familiar dishes supported a direct invitation to dine in.
Collaborations and invitations
Each send had one ask: attend a cookbook signing, try the limited-time salad or help shape a new recipe.
Jake Cohen collaboration
The email introduced the limited-time salad and the book signing for Dinner Party Animal.
Greek Salad Tasting Panel
An invitation asked regulars who knew the original salad to help shape the new version.
Holidays and sports
I kept dates, eligibility and offer limits in the main message, with conditions such as “dine-in only” next to the offer.
The June email is in the World Cup campaign.
Winter Olympics
I drew the Winter Olympics doodle in Illustrator and built the email around the viewing dates and four restaurant specials. Later, I created a brand guide in ChatGPT so I could generate new doodles in the same drawing style.
Mother’s Day
A free mimosa or mocktail offer led a timely invitation to bring mom to Westville.
Holiday food drive
Restaurant artwork explained the Gotham Food Pantry partnership, what to donate and the December 31 deadline.
Catering
I led with food photography, then packages, starting prices and dietary options, the details someone needs to plan a group order.
Spring catering
Spring packages, starting prices and dietary options for planning a group order.
Summer catering
World Cup gatherings and warm-weather plans connected catering trays to the season.
Launching email on a new platform
When Westville moved its email to Olo, the new sending address needed an IP warmup: small sends that grow in volume so inbox providers learn to trust it. My part was the creative. I wrote and designed six emails, each with one photograph, a short headline and one action, built on familiar reasons to visit such as brunch, happy hour and catering.

Catering ad design
Two catering concepts using Westville’s existing photography and brand system.
Food-led creative
I led with familiar Westville dishes, offered at group scale.
Gathering-led creative
I led with people gathering, presenting catering as an easy way to feed a group.
